Jewish Columbia protester confronts Jill Stein for opposing Israel’s war with Hamas: ‘You are the minority’

Far-left Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein had a verbal altercation with an observant Jewish man outside the Columbia University gates Friday morning, who ripped her as being “in the minority” and representing “the 1%” of Jews in opposition to Israel’s war against Hamas.

In the video, Stein, who is Jewish, praised the campus rabble-rousers for standing up to the “genocide” being perpetrated in Gaza, which she called “a horrible violation of international law.”

As she addressed the camera, a man wearing a kippah and a tzitzit approached from behind and began filming her on his cell phone, chastising her in the background for her stance.

“Opposing genocide is a Jewish value,” Stein said, addressing both the camera and her critic.

“Israel is the only homeland of the Jewish people,” the man shot back as Stein turned away from the camera to confront him.

“You are the minority, you are the one percent,” he said, gesturing with his finger.

“The Jews have a homeland, but thank you, as a Jew, as a descendent of refugees myself, thank you,” she replied.

Turning back to the camera, she instructed viewers to “ignore that 0.1% who is mandating genocide right now” and slammed a “very misguided Zionist movement” which she said is “attempting to crush…the right of children to survive.”

Since the campus movement ignited, many students have vocally called for the eradication of “Zionism,” which the Anti-Defamation League defines in part as “the movement for the self-determination and statehood for the Jewish people in their ancestral homeland, the land of Israel.”
