He was charged with two counts of human trafficking of a child victim and two counts of solicitation prostitution of a minor in Lee County.

This case started in Cumberland County in early April when Gate Beautiful, Inc., a nonprofit which works with survivors of human trafficking, alerted the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office that someone was trying to buy a child for sexual gratification. The subject was later identified as Vieu.

On Wednesday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office obtained warrants for Vieu for two counts of human trafficking of a child victim and two counts of soliciting prostitution of a minor.

CBS 17 has also learned Vieu was charged in 2001 with false imprisonment in Seminole County, Florida and served three years in prison. The victim in that case, a 16-year-old girl, told police Vieu grabbed her, covered her mouth, dragged her into a bathroom and threatened to kill her if she didn’t stop fighting. She managed to get out of the bathroom and ran for help.

Vieu is being held without bond at the Lee County Detention Center.
