USDA Forest Service investing $62 million to Pacific Northwest communities

The forest service said the funds will give critical support for schools, roads and other services in rural communities across the region that are home to national forests.

Washington counties receiving funding include Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Pierce and Stevens counties.

Here is a breakdown of those funds:

• Chelan: $1,163,826.68
• Douglas: $1.64
• Okanogan: $1,713,564.95
• Pend Oreille: $668,964.78
• Pierce: $216,265.92
• Stevens: $318,978.46
