More than two dozen streets on list
JXN Water has issued multiple boil water alerts around the city of Jackson.
All of them were put in place as a result of repair work performed on the water system, according to the health department.
At least 484 connections are impacted by the alert, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health website.
The streets under the boil water alert are as follows: W. Silas Street, S. Gallatin Street, Union Street, Summer Street, Eddy Street, Cameron Street, Nichols Boulevard, Winfield Street, Savanna Street, Creston Avenue, Veld Drive, Fleming Road, Hines Avenue, Gretchen Street, Avalon Road, Belvedere Road, Wellington Road, Robinhood Road, Broadmoor Drive, Churchill Drive, Cedarhurst Drive, Londonderry Drive, E. Northside Drive, Windy Hill Cove, Spring Valley Drive, Springridge Road, Whiting Road, Dixie Drive, Van Winkle Park Drive, John R Lynch Street and President Street.
Six separate alerts were issued between Monday and Wednesday.
Residents will be notified immediately by city of Jackson-JXN Water when the advisory is lifted.
