LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The city’s utilities department needs your feedback when it comes to your home water use.

Laredo residents are being asked to take part in a 10-question survey that aims to inform the city on their water conservation and drought contingency plan.

Officials with the utilities department say the survey is helping shape their future plan by learning from their existing plan.

“We want to gauge how much people know about our current conservation plan, and then we also want their feedback on what our new conservation plan would be,” City of Laredo Water Conservation Planner Sheila Serna says. “So theres things in the survey like, ‘would you be more willing to reduce water use in your home if there’s an incentive?’”

City officials tell us that a little over 2 dozen residents have completed the survey, but organizers want that number to be in the thousands.
